Well … we did it.  Somehow we have reached the end of the worst year in recent memory.  A year that tried us all in myriad ways.  A year that took so much while giving very little back, at least in equitably.  However, regardless of the historic shit show 2020 became, we still had some pretty great things to watch, read, listen to, learn, etc.

On this episode of The Co-Write we attempt to slap some lipstick on a pig by bringing you some of our favorite things of 2020.  Our lists weren’t identical, but we do talk music, movies, tv, podcasts, books, food, and some miscellaneous items that brought us joy over these last 12 months.

We look forward to whatever 2021 brings, and you’ll hear all about it right here on the The Co-Write!

WE ARE BACK!

Please forgive us for the delay in new material over the last month or so.  Big changes have been brewing for the Duncan clan as we have moved back to Fort Worth.  It turns out picking up where you left off takes a few weeks.  We are excited to tie a bow around this hellacious year with some new content over the remaining few weeks and that all starts this week.

In this episode of the podcast we touch on a few things that have happened in our absence.  We pay homage to 4 great singer/songwriters who’s influence on the Texas scene stretched over many decades, and will continue for many decades to come.  We give quick eulogies and listen to a few of our favorite tracks from each.

Bruce Springsteen released his new album, “Letter to You”, in October, and you know we have to talk Bruce when we can.  We hit on the story of the albums inception, the production aspects, listen to a few tracks, and touch on the accompanying documentary that seems to be a Bruce staple for new projects.

Coming later this month we tie up some loose ends in the world of music news, and we try to to compile a favorites list of sorts for 2020.  Stay tune!
