Bobby and Donovan are back at it this week with a review of their last episode, featuring Bleu Edmondson, and they poke a little fun at Donovan for getting called out by fans for being a bit enamored with Bleu.  At (6:15) the guys talk about a recent comment from Granger Smith that equated the Texas Music Scene to the “minor leagues”, which leads to a discussion of how we judge music.  At (26:30) the fellas do a little experiment & surprise Donovan’s dad on his 71st birthday with a phone call. The topic of the day comes your way at (29:15) regarding a Department of Justice ruling on licensing rights, and the major impact it could have on the songwriting world.  (49:00) WHO’S PLAYING AROUND TOWN!?!?!?!

This week the guys take The Co-Write on the road ... well two stop signs at least ... to The Live Oak Music Hall's green room, where they chum it up with old pal Bleu Edmondson.  As they pass the bottle, they share stories including:  Bleu's perspective on writing/releasing records, some of the pitfalls of early success in music, opinions on the "business" of music & of course ... Springsteen.  The guys also touch on the Texas Rangers' struggles of late, as well as pay respects to the tragedy in Dallas, TX on July 7th.

** Donovan apologizes for the overuse of the F-bomb.  He was very excited.
