Well, here we are! The end of another year, but even more so, the end of another decade.  Today on The Co-Write we sit down with Brad Beheler to go over some of our favorite things from 2019 and the 2010's.  We talk music, tv shows, books, movies, documentaries, and much more.  This is one of those that could have gone 3 hours, but we've condensed it to a comfortable hour and forty five for you.  As always, happy new year from The Co-Write.  See you in 2020!

This is a somber week on The Co-Write as Bobby and Donovan sit down to remember their dear friend, Kylie Rae Harris, who passed away tragically on September 4th.  The three had been friends for many years, and Kylie was truly a Co-Write favorite.  The boys discuss their emotions upon learning of the tragic events, Donovan recaps the memorial service, they listen back to some clips from Kylie's only appearance on The Co-Write from 2016, and they wrap things up by listening to a few of their favorite Kylie Rae songs.

Kylie's was a big loss for so many in the Texas music community, and we consider ourselves very fortunate to have known her for so many years.  She was our sister, and we loved her.

Note* We are working on a special tribute to Kylie including special messages from numerous artists.  A condensed working schedule over the last week has put a time constraint on that project, and we plan to release it as soon as we can.

Due to a minor engineer error (AKA, I don't always know what the fuck I'm doing), you'll have to bare with us a bit on this episode of The Co-Write!  While the sound may be slightly subpar, the content is truly choice.  This week we talk about some recent Duncan travels where I met a budding songwriter;  Katy Perry has to fork over millions to rap icon, "Flame".  The Monroe County Fair is ditching country music and monster truck rallies for 90's rock.  Is Tyler Childers really that great?  Why are Mike and the Moonpies awesome?

Let's get it!!

Episode 63 ... despite our separation, we are still able to bring the you best medium level content in the podcast sphere!  This week we talk Bruce being nominated for and Emmy, and his chance at an EGOT ... but is it really an EGOT?  We have a new trick up our sleeve this week and listen to some new music from a couple of Co-Write favorites, Josh Weathers and Taylor Swift.  Lastly, we had the idea a while back to listen to songs that are currently on the Texas Regional Radio Report chart, the last chart standing in the Texas/Red-Dirt scene, and comment on them.  We plan to do this from time to time, and vary the position on the chart we pick from, but for this first run, we chose the top 10 songs on the chart from the previous reporting week.

To say we had fun on this one would be an understatement.  This week we are joined by John Baumann.  An instant friend to The Co-Write.  John is the type of guy who fits well into any situation.  We talk a little about a lot. Including, the writing process, the grind, what it was like to have Kenny Chesney cut a song & a bit of rapid fire. Don't let the awkward start draw you offsides, this was an extremely good time caught on tape!

R Kelly had a pretty bad week.

The documentary, "Leaving Neverland", made it's much anticipated debut on HBO.

Amazon, Google and some other music streaming services have challenged a new royalty rate increase of 44% by the copy write review board. One notable exception from the challenge is Apple Music.

We also have a full rundown of the 2019 Grammy Awards.  Including a break down of the winner, the Dolly Parton Tribute, and did I sense a bit of forced activism this year?

Our final story is a bit of a nut kick for your humble hosts.  The New York Times released a report this week chronicling a cycle of psychological abuse against women by Ryan Adams.  We discuss what this means for the singer, the most alarming accusations in the story and how society handles accusations in this day and age.
